Choc Honeycomb and Hazelnut Protein Bars

I’ve been so pumped to share this recipe with you guys! These are my Choc Honeycomb and Hazelnut Protein bars and you’re gonna want to save this one! These turned out even better than I hoped, they are seriously delicious!


Protein bars can be expensive so making them yourself is a great alternative. And to make these even better, they are made using minimal ingredients!


Ingredients


1.5 C rolled oats

60g @trueprotein French Vanilla WPC80

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 C almond butter

1/2 C honey

2 tbsp's coconut oil, melted

1/4 C roasted hazelnuts (roughly chopped)

1/4 C dark chocolate (roughly chopped)








Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 170°C.

  2. Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl.

  3. Add the almond butter, honey and coconut oil and stir well until incorporated.

  4. Fold in the roasted hazelnuts and dark chocolate.

  5. Place the mixture into a tray lined with baking paper.

  6. Use your hands to press the mixture down in the tray (you want the mixture to be about 2.5cm thick as it will rise in the oven.

  7. Place in the oven for 15-20 mins until lightly golden on top.

  8. Once cooled, cut into bars and enjoy!
